Using Your HSA or FSA

  1. 01Confirm with your HSA, FSA, or HRA administrator that your plan covers holistic wellness services such as stress management, emotional wellness, and quit smoking support.
  2. 02If required by your plan, obtain a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your licensed healthcare provider before your appointment.
  3. 03Pay for your session using your HSA or FSA debit card, or follow your plan administrator's instructions for reimbursement.

Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)

Some benefit plans require a Letter of Medical Necessity for holistic wellness services, while others do not. An LMN is a letter from your licensed healthcare provider explaining that a service supports the treatment or prevention of a specific health condition — for example, chronic stress, anxiety, sleep issues, or smoking cessation.

An LMN must be provided by your licensed healthcare provider if your plan requires one. Essential Healing Now cannot determine whether an LMN is necessary or issue one on your behalf.
